Summer is the perfect time to enjoy your family and experience new things. The following eight tips will help you have fun and stay safe at the same time.
Eat Fresh Foods That Are in Season
Eating fresh fruits and vegetables that are in season offer the maximum amount of nutrients. If you are fortunate enough to buy local, you know you are getting the fresh most produce possible without all of the additives and preservatives.
Use Relaxation Techniques and Breathe
Learning to relax and breathe can reduce your stress levels and actually boost your immune system.
Start A New Exercise Program
Being able to be outside offers you new types of exercises to explore. Go hiking or explore a new trail. Buy a bicycle and find a new bike trail.
Use sunscreen whenever you go outside for any length of time. This protects your skin and still allows you to spend quality time outside.
Drink ample water on a daily basis. At least six to eight 8-ounce glasses of water a day will keep you hydrated and ready for action.
Explore nature and take the time to smell the roses. Visit a local National Forest or lake and enjoy a boat ride.
Re-Connect with Yourself
Take a minute to re-connect with yourself. Remember what it’s like to just “be”. Cherish old movies and think of ways to create new ones.
Enjoy Home Brewed Sun Tea
Make a large pitcher of sun tea and sip it while sitting on the back porch and watching the sun go down.
